The Draco lizard is a living thing because it can reproduce and responds to it's environment.

Reproduction:

The reproduction of the Draco lizard is still unknown but
specialists observed that the reproduction happens between
December to January. This is the time when Draco lizards do come to the ground: to lay eggs. Before they lay eggs, the female pokes it's head
on the ground. Then, the female lays it's eggs and covers the eggs with dirt.
Then the female guards the nest for at least one day. At that time, the female fiercely guards the nest so it can protect the nest even more. After one day, the female can no longer protect the nest
so it leaves the nest. The eggs are incubated for a month then it hatches into the outside world.
That is quite amazing for a small lizard!
Sometimes inside the eggs, they can split in two cells!
Larger female Draco Lizards lay larger eggs.

Grow and Develop:

Development:
When the young Draco lizards just came out of their nest, they first learn how to catch their own prey. In their early ages, they need lots of time to catch their prey. Then when they grow about 3 inches, they will learn how to "fly" or in other words, glide. When there in their adult stages, they will already know how to catch a prey and glide from tree to tree.

Growth:
Draco lizards can grow up to 13 inches for the males and 11 inches for the female. Draco lizards are known for their wings. The wings are not actually wings but it's their flaps of their skin which is supported by the ribs that are inside the flaps. The flaps for the Draco lizard enables it to glide from tree to tree. As you can see here, the Draco lizard's "wings" are supported by the ribs that are sticking out from the side.

The ribs on the side retracts when not in use and contracts when in use.

The Needs of Living Things:

Diet: Draco lizards are CARNIVORES that eat insects. Draco lizards mostly eat ants that survive in the rainforests, termites and some other types of insects like: non-poisonous spiders(small), non-poisonous butterflies(small), and tiny bugs that humans have never spotted. Again mostly, Draco lizards live exclusively on ants and termites. When they hunt, the Draco lizard quietly waits on a tree that the ants colony live. then, when some of the ants come, the Draco lizard camouflages with the treebark and when the time comes, the Draco lizard strikes with it's mouth and chews it's prey.

Habitat: Draco lizards live in densely wooded areas in the Phillippines and Borneo in the east. The place they live is a rainforest just like any other rainforests like the Amazon rainforest but has Draco lizards. Draco lizards stay away from the ground because of predators.

Food:
mostly eats ants and termites that lives on hollow trees, the Draco lizard waits for ants to come out the tree trunk and the Draco lizard chews on the food
Water:
drinks rain water from trees and gets some water from food from insects
Air:
breaths air through it's respiratory system, no information on the lung capacity
Shelter:
lives on trees that are about 25 metres long on a middle of an rainforest

Responds to it's environment:

When the weather is getting colder in the rainforest, Draco lizards have to move fast. They have to move fast because most lizards are cold-blooded which means they can't control their body temperatures as we do When they do step into the cold zone, their body temperatures go down quickly and they go to sleep even though it's not their hibernation time. So Draco lizards quickly move to another place to be warm again so they will not go dormant...
